Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

Lovers of vintage inserts will be fascinated with this rarely-seen ensemble. The images are familiar and came on mini cards that could be separated and affixed in mini-card albums, with however the panels here not featuring any perforations - there's no separating these! Condition is rather impressive too, with a few definite grading possibilities if these were actual cards. There is curling/warping to be aware of, as if these may have once been an uncut sheet, with a strip of brown "tape" on the backs of cards featuring Orr and Mikita. Toning (browning) is remarked on the backs of those including Hull, Beliveau and Esposito. The one with Plante is water damaged but only a few small light subtle creases are spotted throughout. Very few of these "proof" sets are known to exist. Eighteen luscious rarities for the new owner to marvel at feature blank backs, with no adhesive. A fine complement accompanying the obscurities is a set of 12 of the aforementioned four-page albums which average VG-EX, with no evidence of any cards ever having been pasted-in.
