Five of the Six Original Six teams are represented here, with a nice little assortment of 36 programs that span from the 1930s to 1970s, with Toronto (13), Boston (9), Chicago (7), New York (5) and Detroit (2). Highlights include a 1942 Leafs program vs Montreal featuring Richard in only his 8th NHL game, a “Free” line-up sheet made for the 1967 Cup Final apparently by a striking printing union, a 1929-30 Bruins program for a match against Chicago and legendary keeper Charlie Gardiner, a 1948 Semi-Finals program for Game 3 with the Rangers vs Detroit, an exhibition program from 1937-38 with the Rangers taking on Cleveland, a 1968 Quarter-Finals program for Chicago vs the Rangers, a 1963 Semi-Finals program for Chicago vs Detroit and so much more.
The breakdown of programs available for each team is as follows. 1) Toronto. We have 13 examples, with a pair from the 1940s, 4 from the 1960s, 5 from the ‘70s and single examples for the 1980s and ‘90s. 2) Boston. We have 9 examples, with a single copy from 1929-30, pairs for the 1940s and ‘50s along with additional pairs for the 1960s and ‘70s. 3) Chicago. We have 7 examples, with each originating from the 1960s. 4) New York. We have 5 examples, including single programs from the 1930s, ‘40s and 1950s, along with a pair from the 1960s. 5) Detroit. With only a pair of Red Wings programs, both are from the 1960s including an example for a pre-season game against Montreal in the fall of 1965. The condition varies in the group, with the majority exhibiting moderate handling wear, with some in technically lower grades due to detached center line-ups, creasing and toning, along with corner, spine and surface wear.
