Oh, the syrup that was consumed back in the day! Classic stash of Bee Hive and other premium pictures includes 73 Bee Hives, with 25 Group 3 photos in mostly crease-free EX or better condition and carrying the most weight. Howe, Plante (Rangers), Sawchuk, 12 different Canadiens and duplicates of Hull and Hall are included, with ten Group 1s all low grade, (pin holes), except for a nice EX+ Syd Howe example. Canadiens (14) (Beliveau, H. Richard, Geoffrion x 2) and Red Wings (13) lead (39) Group 2 pictures, with not many notables but in acceptable/collectible condition. Nine of eleven Crown Brand photos are without their original backings and otherwise average VG, with Toe Blake and six other Habs included, while a Howie Morenz picture has scotch tape along part of the bottom border and is re-glued off-center on a beige mat. A grab bag of (90) Quaker Oats photos of Habs and Leafs will likely wield some pleasant surprises, despite condition all over the board and generally not great. Apps with the Cup, Barilko, two different of Rocket Richard and three of Blake are not bad though and most noteworthy.
Other than the almost-standard light bends/wrinkles usually spotted in Quaker Oats photos, intermittent pen writing on some of backs, writing at times on the fronts and pin holes are flaws to be aware of, although some photos display quite well and are in nice collectible condition. Like we said, this is a grab bag with some interesting break-up value.
