Standouts during their time with the Maple Leafs, we have some neat items here from the personal collections of Dick Duff, Darryl Sittler and Rick Vaive. First from Duff we have a tie-clip that was given to the superstar for scoring his 250th career goal, followed by his 1963 Stanley Cup Champions wallet, signed Hall of Fame induction pass and 1962 All-Star Game organizer. We also have a framed Ken Danby print from 1979 that has been signed on the reverse by Duff. From Vaive, we have jewelry including a pair of his and her watches for the Sabres 20th anniversary. We also have a plaque given to Vaive for his participation in the 1983 All-Star Game. Lastly, from Sittler we have a few letters including an invoice for expenses from Hockey Canada, an invoice from his management team, and a signed letter from Alan Eagleson.
The 250th career goal tie-clip given to Duff has a small medallion that hangs with “NHL” and “250”. The back of the medallion is stamped “10K”, while the clip itself is stamped “1/20 12KT G.F.”. The signed Hall of Fame induction pass remains in beautiful condition, while the wallet has “1963/Stanley Cup Champions” in gold on the inside sleeve. The plaque given to Vaive is roughly 7” x 9” and it remains in very good condition, with some wear/scratches to the nameplate. Along with the previously mentioned watches, other jewelry from Rick includes a South Carolina Stingrays watch, “Hawks”, “Sabres” and “22” pendants and a bracelet with a “20” seasons Sabres medallion. Other correspondence from Darryl Sittler includes a breakdown of fees that needed to be paid out, a review of a meeting with Jay Anne Ltd regarding the management services he utilized and more. The Ken Danby print exhibits some staining along the left border, and it’s been matted and framed to full dimensions of roughly 24” x 30”, with Duff signing the reverse in blue sharpie.
