Cool Summit Series lot of 10 items includes a Team Canada 1972 team-signed page with 19 autographs, including series hero Paul Henderson and HOFers Bobby Clarke, Phil and Tony Esposito, Jean Ratelle, Frank Mahovlich, Stan Mikita, Rod Gilber, Serge Savard and Guy Lapointe. Henderson has also signed another removed book page on both sides, with one side also signed by Clarke. Also included is a player souvenir from Game 1 in Montreal, a 5” diameter Fleur de Lys plate with handwritten details of the game and its date on the reverse, a vintage Hockey Canada souvernir puck, three menus/invitations to formal Summit Series dinners, and a postcard sent from Moscow during the series by Brad Park’s wife.
Paul Henderson has signed in blue ballpoint on both sides of a page removed from a Summit Series color picture book, including one side that also has a Bobby Clarke ballpoint autograph.
Henderson is also among 19 members of Team Canada 1972 whose signatures are grouped on the front page of a four-page section removed from the same book. Phil and Tony Esposito, Stan Mikita, Bobby Clarke, Yvan Cournoyer, Guy Lapointe, Serge Savard, Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert are among the HOFers who have signed along with the likes of Bill White, Ed Johnston, Ron Ellis and the late Gary Bergman.
Hockey Canada puck with a mounting hole screwed through the bottom edge. “Official Souvenir of the World’s Greatest Hockey Series” with the results of all eight games.
Gold-colored dish with blue and white fleur de lys on the front measures 5” in diameter. The reverse is signed by artist Jules Perrier with “1er Match – Canada-U.R.S.S.” (1st Game – Canada-U.S.S.R.) and “Montreal, Que. 2 Sept. 1972”.
A Kremlin postcard from Brad and Gerry Park in Mrs. Park’s handwriting dated Sept. 25/72 with a Soviet stamp and postmark;
“M. & Mme Claude Mouton” is handwritten in blue ballpoint on a Government of Canada invitation card for the luncheon hosted at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal on September 2, 1972, the date of the first game;
The invitation card comes along with a 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" menu from the luncheon with its original red and white cord and tassels along the spine;
“Claude Mouton” is handwritten in blue ballpoint on a Government of Canada invitation card for the September 8, 1972 luncheon it hosted at the Hotel Vancouver prior to Game 4;
