Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Directly from the personal collection of Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay, we have a neat grouping of signed items including seven posters along with a framed piece and a pair of signed pucks. First we have three identical “End of an Era” posters, with each signed by Lindsay, Beliveau, Worsley, Pilote, Cheevers and Johnny Bower. Next we have a pair of posters from Sid Abel Night, signed by Production Liner’s Howe, Lindsay and Abel. This is followed by another pair of posters, this time picturing Steve Yzerman raising the cup in 1997, both signed. The framed piece is a “Masters of Hockey” display signed by Lindsay, Mahovlich, Richard, Gilbert, Bower and Stan Mikita. Finishing the lot we have a pair of pucks signed by Bobby Orr. An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
The “Masters of Hockey” display has been sealed under glass and measures roughly 13” x 15”, and it pictures Lindsay, Mahovlich, Richard, Gilbert, Bower and Stan Mikita, and each has signed near their image in silver paint pen. There is some light wear to the glass and reverse, but the piece displays exceptionally well. The “End of an Era” posters are approx. 18” x 24”, and they picture all six original six venues. Lindsay, Beliveau, Worsley, Pilote, Cheevers and Johnny Bower have signed over their respective team’s arena in blue sharpie. All three posters remain in beautiful condition with just regular handling wear that may include the odd surface wrinkle, crease or edge damage. The “Sid Abel Night” posters are 18” x 24”, and they picture the famous Production Line. Each member has signed in black beneath his image, with the posters exhibiting creasing, surface indentations and edge wear. The “Stanleytown” posters are 16” x 24” and they picture Yzerman hoisting the Cup, with each signed in blue sharpie. Each poster has some surface wear and light creasing. Rounding out the lot we have a pair of pucks signed by Bobby Orr. InGlasCo models, each puck pictures a Bruins logo with Orr signing just above in silver marker, and they both remain in beautiful high grade.
PLEASE NOTE: The pucks pictured in the photographs used to hold down the posters are NOT included with this lot.
