Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Direct from the collection of legendary Red Wing “Terrible” Ted Lindsay, we have a Detroit lithograph signed by 7, along with Ted’s leather Detroit Red Wings jacket. Produced by Roots, “XL” size tagging is affixed to the collar, with an additional laundry label along the inner seam. Fashioned with chenille Red Wings patches front and back along with a gorgeous US/Canada sleeve patch that also has puck crests for each of Detroit’s 1950’s Cup wins, the opposite sleeve has a puck with “Captain” and “7”. The lithograph is roughly 18” x 39” and is a Printer’s Proof, with “PP” handwritten in the bottom left. 7 Detroit legends have signed in blue including deceased Hall of Famers Lumley, Abel, Howe and Gadsby, along with fellow Hall of Famers Lindsay, Delvecchio and Norm Ullman. An LOA from the Lindsay family will be included.
The jacket remains in gorgeous condition with no unsightly wear, while the lithograph exhibits just light handling, and will come rolled in a tube.
