Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
A standout during the Islanders four consecutive Stanley Cup Championships in the early-1980s, Bryan Trottier would spend 15 seasons on Long Island, finishing his career in Pittsburgh with the Penguins. This stick was used by the Hall of Fame centreman in 1982-83, and it’s been signed. A KOHO model, “B. Trottier” is stamped on the upper shaft along with handwritten “19”, with the stick retaining its black tape on the blade and well-worn gauze-style on the handle/knob. Moderate use is exhibited, with wear to the taped section of blade and marks on the lower shaft. Bryan has added a solid black marker signature on the upper shaft, and it display’s beautifully. A small crack is visible along the heel section, and a date stamp of “9 Dec 1982” appears on the lower shaft.
