Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

The Golden Jet sent NHL goalies running and ducking for cover when he added the absurd “banana hook” curve to the blade of his Northland Custom Pro stick. Bobby Hull’s signed 1960s Chicago Black Hawks game-used stick retains his original tape jobs on the ridiculously-curved blade and on the knob. “B. Hull” is stamped lower on the shaft and Bobby’s No. “9” is handwritten in black marker below the knob. This gamer predates Hull’s 1968 auto accident as evidenced by the absence of a custom-notched handle on the top of the shaft. There are cracks on the bottom portion of the toe of this beauty, a must for any stick collection to demonstrate the evolution of the curved blade.
“Gunzo's” and “Larson Industries” stamps remain on the shaft of this gamer, which was signed by Hull in 2014 at a TV show in Montreal where he appeared.
