Currently in his second season with the Calgary Flames, Swiss-born Jonas Hiller has also represented his country a number of times in international play. This blocker and glove combo was game-used by Hiller in 2008-09 while with Anaheim, and they’ve been photo-matched. Reebok Premier Series III models in Ducks colours, both items feature “Hiller” embroidered on. Additional cloth patches from maker Lefevre are present, along with affixed team holograms. With all strapping and lacing intact, both show tremendous use with a number of puck marks scattered throughout, with a heavy concentration across the face and edge of the blocker and inside the pocket of the trapper. Hiller has added a large black marker signature across the face of the blocker, and it projects well. As mentioned, these items have been photo-matched. Getty image #84928402 from Feb 15th 2009 has been matched to numerous marks on the side of the blocker, but Hiller is not wearing the accompanying glove in the photo. While Getty image #85144557 from Feb 26th 2009 has been matched to the long black mark on the outside of the pocket, to the left of the Premier Series logo on the glove. While not a matched set, both the blocker and glove were used by Hiller in his second season of 2008-09.
