Already in his twelfth NHL season, Edmontonian Dion Phaneuf was first taught to skate by his mother, a figure skater who competed in the 1975 Canada Winter Games. This “Set 2” Toronto Maple Leafs captain’s jersey was worn by Phaneuf in 2014-15, and includes a pair of Leafs game-worn socks along with team COAs for both items. With proper size tagging affixed to the collar, there are also NHL and Reebok patches on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring a gorgeous team crest along with tackle twill numbers, captain’s “C” and name-on-nameplate, there are also matching vintage-style maple leafs over both shoulders. Visible game-use is light, and includes just a single small hole near the right elbow.
We should note that the jersey’s original price tag from the team store is included. The game-worn socks were produced by Reebok, and they show good use, with a number of dark marks present along with 3 team repairs and were used by the team during the season. The jersey’s team patch numbered D-0196 sits on the inside hem, and it will be accompanied by a matching COA from the Maple Leafs organization.
