Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A dominate performance that saw 27 points scored in the second quarter alone, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were able to soundly beat the Hamilton Ti-Cats in the 1984 Grey Cup 47-17. This gorgeous ring was presented to Bomber linebacker Delbert Fowler. Size 10 ½ with a weight of approx. 36 grams, the ring features a centralized Bombers logo set in a dark blue stone along with a clear cubic zirconia placed in the center, with “Grey Cup” and “Winnipeg 1984” along the perimeter. One shank pictures the CFL logo with “Blue Bombers” above and “Champions” below, while the other has an image of a Bombers helmet with “Fowler” above and “LB 72” below. Stunning in appearance, the inner band is stamped “Jostens 10K”.
In very good condition, the ring does exhibit wear from its former use, with a number of small scratches and tiny dings, mostly on the outer band. Accompanied by a Jostens box, a document profiling this ring will also be included.
