The country’s fourth consecutive gold medal, the 2008 World Juniors saw Team Canada defeat the Swedes in overtime 3-2 in the tournament’s final. This Team Canada jersey was worn by Claude Giroux in the tournament. With the sizing heat-pressed onto the Nike sweater’s collar, there is also an IIHF Authentic tag affixed. The 100 year anniversary patch sits on the bottom hem, with matching “Canada” patches over both shoulders. Finished with patriotic red numbers with black trim, the garment also features a large and clean Hockey Canada maple leaf team crest. Game-use includes a few large stick marks on the lower front and on both sleeves. An LOA from Hockey Canada will accompany.
The jersey’s Nike inventory bar code has been heat-pressed onto the lower inner hem. We should also add that Giroux finished the tournament with 6 points including 2 goals, in the 7 games played. One of these goals was scored in the gold medal game, but not while wearing this particular jersey.
