Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
From the only athlete to captain two championship teams, we have this pair of skates game-used by Mark Messier circa 1997-98 while with Vancouver. CCM Tacks 952 models, these skates were originally purchased by our consignor directly from the Canucks organization sometime shortly after they were used. All identifiers remain including handwritten "11" in each skate, with “CCM” rubber molded above the heel, and again on the underside. In excellent condition, the skates show nice wear, with a few scratches and indentations on and around the toe sections. The right skate has the remains of a decal under the boot, near the backside, and both blades have stick tape covering their undersides completely.
