Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A good start to three Topps issues from the 1950s is offered here in this shoebox-like find, with a couple of Gordie Howe cards leading the star power and several condition grades represented, ranging mostly from F-G to VG-EX and averaging G+, but with star cards typically in lower grades. The 1957-58 lot of 51 includes a Howe with multiple creases (F), while other notables are Ullman RC (F), Pilote RC (F), Vasko RC (G+), Lindsay (G) and Worsley (VG). The Bobby Hull rookie and other key cards are not present among some three dozen from '58-59, with Bucyk and Ullman both F, but two-thirds of the stack, (mostly commons), in VG or better shape. The '59-60 lot includes Howe at G, the same as Worsley and Kelly, with 1-Nesterenko at VG+ and Bucyk and Ullman P-F due to back damage. Cheaper than high grade examples, these will make for a fun grab bag.
