Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The only time in tournament history that a team went undefeated, the 1991 Canada Cup saw Team Canada defeat the US in the finals two games to none, to finish with six wins and a pair of ties. This lot contains a pair of game-worn pants from the tournament, a pair of socks signed by Mark Messier, a water bottle, and three different pucks. The pants are solid blue CCM Supra models, with a Team Canada patch added to the left pant leg, and they remain in very good condition with no attribution. The white and red Team Canada game-issued socks are in excellent condition, with Messier signing one with “91 C Cup”, with the signature naturally fading somewhat into the material. The InGlasCo water bottle features the ’91 logo, and it’s been cracked and well used. The pucks remain in excellent condition with clean logos, with one example from 1991, one from 1984, and one Team Canada example from 1983.
