Fantastic United States Hockey League 1965-66 All-Star Game No. 1 game-worn jersey is attributed to Norwegian goalie Oystein Mellerud. Obtained directly from Oystein's son, Jon Biolo Pence Mellerud, this jersey is attributed to have been worn in the 1965 USHL All-Star Game by Oystein Mellerud, who played for played for the USHL Green Bay Bobcats in 1964-65 and 1965-66. Oystein Mellerud played for Norway at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics and attended the 1964 New York Rangers training camp. This cool minor league All-Star game-worn jersey features sewn-on white twill lettering and double-twill numbers. Powers size 48 flag tag sits in the back of the tie-neck collar.
Game wear includes black marks on the left sleeve and a few light marks on the front and tail, including a couple on the red twill of the No. 1. Several tiny reddish-brown spot stains on the rear tail and another reddish-brown stain on the back of the right sleeve.
There are a few holes on the right back of the jersey and two more on the front that do not diminish its display. A washed-out laundry instruction flag tag sits inside the left hip seam that is lightly frayed at the tip.
