A Stanley Cup winner thrice, Chris Osgood currently ranks 10th on the all-time list for regular season wins by a goaltender. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Osgood in the 2000-01 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. The proper CCM “Goalie Style” and size tagging remains affixed to the collar, with additional embroidered NHL and KOHO patches on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Featuring the forever-classic winged-wheel crest, the jersey also sports tackle twill numbers with the back letters sewn directly onto the jersey. We should also note the customized and enlarged sleeves, along with a customized lengthened hem.
Visible game-use is light on this jersey, with a few dark marks on the right sleeve’s white striping band, along with a small slit beneath the team crest. There is also a team repair on the armpit section of the left sleeve. As mentioned, this jersey has been photo-matched. Getty image #624180 from April 15th 2001 has been matched to the particular alignment of the white band of the customized left arm sleeve. The black mark in the white striping band of the right sleeve has also been matched to Getty image #622635 from April 18th 2001, and to Getty image #571778 from April 23rd 2001.
