Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

A force to be reckoned with throughout the 1990’s, the Detroit Red Wings managed to place either first or second in their division from 1991-92 right up to, and past the millennium. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Keith Primeau in 1995-96. With East Side and size 56 tagging affixed to the collar, additional embroidered NHL and CCM patches sit on the bottom hem. Featuring a gorgeous winged-wheel crest, the jersey also sports tackle twill numbers with the back letters sewn directly onto the jersey. Game-use includes a number of stick marks on the lower front and right sleeve, along with a huge square-shaped section in the upper right back that has been ripped open, which affects the “U” name letter.
With the large rip/hole in the back excluded, the jersey remains in very good condition and displays well. The team patch remains affixed to the inner hem stating this garment is a 70th anniversary jersey. With 168 penalty minutes in 1995-96 for Primeau, he also managed an impressive 52 points with 27 regular season goals.
