Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Funky colors and (48) seven-card packs from O-Pee-Chee’s 1987-88 hockey card effort are what’s in store for the winning bidder here, with perennial 50-goal man and Hall-of-Famer Michel Goulet chosen to appear on the display box. Luc Robitaille’s rookie card, along with those of Adam Oates, Ron Hextall, Mike Vernon, Bill Ranford, Rick Tocchet,Esa Tikkanen, Claude Lemieux and Vincent Damphousse are among the notables from ’87-88, with Wayne and Mario and Patrick Roy leading star card lineup. Set size was again 264 cards, with box bottom appearances here by Goulet, Trottier, Savard and Russ Cournall. Very little handling wear is to report, with a couple of small creases affecting the Goulet card on the bottom, partially covered up by an identifying sticker from unopened specialist Baseball Card Exchange. That firm’s shrink wrap seals things nicely and includes a tamper proof hologram.
