Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
From two of the four Staal brothers, we have a pair of game-used sticks from Eric and Jordan. First we’ll start with younger brother Jordan. A Bauer Vapor model, the composite stick features “Staal” and “11” in factory graphics on the upper shaft. With the original tape on the upper shaft/knob, the tape has been removed from the blade so that Jordan could add a nice flowing silver sharpie signature. Game-use includes wear to the blade and lower shaft, along with spots of red goal-post paint transfer on the upper shaft. Next we have oldest brother Eric. An Easton Synergy model, the composite stick has “12” and “Staal” factory graphics on the upper shaft. The stick retains the original tape on the shaft with handwritten “12”. The blade is now free of its tape, with Eric adding a large silver sharpie signature close to the toe. The stick shows good game-use with wear and abrasions on the lower shaft near the heel, along with areas of red paint transfer to the taped section of shaft.
