Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Arguably the most exciting player in the world to watch, Alexander Ovechkin could be called a hockey prodigy as young as two, grabbing a hockey stick while at a local toy store and refusing to let it go. This lot contains a pair of sticks game-used by Ovie in the late-2000s. With Bauer and CCM models respectively, each stick features “Ovie” and “8” in factory graphics positioned onto the upper shafts, including handwritten "8". Both sticks also retain original tape on the blade and gauze-style on the shaft/knob. Composite in construction, both sticks exhibit game-use with puck marks visible on the taped section of blades. In excellent condition, both sticks will augment any modern super-star collection.
