Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

After last witnessing a first-round playoff exit in 1996 along with a lengthy hiatus, the forever Winnipeg faithful were rewarded for their diligent patronage and patience with the first playoff series seen in The Peg in almost two decades. This Winnipeg Jets jersey was worn in the 2015 playoffs by Tobias Enstrom, and it’s been photo-matched. With size 52 tagging in the collar, the jersey also sports Reebok and NHL patches on the front and back neckline respectively. Accented with dual-colour tackle twill numbers and name-on-nameplate, the garment also features matching jet maple leaf patches over both shoulders. A Jets store hang tag is also still attached, and it divulges that this garment originally sold for $600.00. Game-wear includes board burns on both sleeves including a resulting hole on the right sleeve, along with a faint stick mark on the team crest and small team repair just above the right cuff. As mentioned, this sweater has been photo-matched. Getty image #470000104 from April 16th 2015 has been matched to the faint black mark on the team crest. We should also note that the Jets team patch remains affixed to the inside hem, and the team’s inventory bar code has been placed just above the fight strap, and it includes handwritten initials. An LOA from the Jets organization will accompany this game-worn playoffs jersey.
