Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Since returning to the NHL, Winnipeg supporters have proven themselves to be some of the most rabid fans in the league, and this Jets offering will surely evoke some spirited bidding. We have a Winnipeg Jets jersey worn by Mark Scheifele in 2014-15, and it’s been photo-matched. With size 56 tagging in the collar, the jersey also has Reebok and NHL patches on the front and back neckline. A Jets store hang tag is also still attached, and it divulges that this garment originally sold for $1500.00. Game-wear includes a few large stick marks on the lower front section of the jersey along with board burns with resulting holes on both sleeves. There is also a large team repair on the left sleeve just above the cuff. An LOA from the Jets organization will accompany. As mentioned, this sweater has been photo-matched. Getty image #459625696 has been matched to the small mark in the grey band (second from bottom)of the left sleeve. We should also note that the Jets team patch remains affixed to the inside hem, and the team’s inventory bar code has been placed above the fight strap that includes handwritten initials. According to the accompanying LOA, this garment was worn between Oct 9 2014 and Jan 11 2015.
