Players who toiled with Boston’s famous black and gold uniform during the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s appear here, led by legendary goaltender Terry Sawchuk. The only Bruins Group 2 Bee Hive picture not present is the error photo picturing Norm Defelice but identified as being Don Simmons, which is available individually. Other more valuable Bruins Bee Hives are present and accounted for and include, in alphabetical order, Ray Barry, Gus Bodnar, Jack Caffrey, Wayne Connolly (“W” touches skate), Dave Creighton (dark background), Warren Godfrey (two different wearing #25), Joe Klukay, Johnny Peirson, Cliff Pennington, (script near skate), Bob Perreault (name touches stick), Larry Regan and Earl Reibel. All backings of the aforementioned look to be original, with a tad of writing on the backs of Peirson, Pennington and Regan and a couple of creases in the backing of the Sawchuk to note. Condition throughout is rather uniform, with lighter corner wear to the backings, the odd intermittent small crease and only one obvious re-glued photo; Norm Defelice. We count however 15 pictures that are glued on either blue or red backings, Babando, Brimsek, “Eagan” and Warwick the most notable. Memorable Bruins Boivin, Bucyk, Dumart, Flaman, Henry, Johnson, Johnston, Labine, Lumley, Mackell, McKenney, Mohns, Oliver, O’Ree, Quackenbush, Simmons and Williams are among the others contributing to this all-Bruins Bee Hive extravaganza, perfect for a Bruins aficionado who has yet to take the Bee Hive plunge.
