Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A member of the NHL’s 1000-point club, Daniel Alfredsson can also add a Calder as well as a King Clancy Trophy to his list of accomplishments. This lot contains an Ottawa Senators worn practice jersey, a pair of game-used sticks, and a pair of game-worn and photo-matched pants from his time in Detroit. The jersey features size tagging in the collar, along with handwritten “11”. Reebok patches appear on the front and back neckline, and on the lower front. Void of any numbers or nameplate, the jersey does exhibit use with a few marks and small holes present. A MeiGray patch has been added to the inside hem, and a matching LOA will accompany, along with a Hockeytown COA for the pants.
The sticks are both Easton Synergy models with the original tape on the shafts, along with handwritten numbers added. One stick retains its tape on the blade, while the second example has had it removed so that Daniel could add a silver sharpie signature. Both sticks show moderate to adequate use, with marks present on the lower shafts. Finally, the game-used pants are made by Bauer, with Red Wings logo on the front right pant leg, and “11” handwritten on the tail flap. They exhibit heavy use, with surface wear and abrasions present, along with a few small holes. The pants have been photo-matched. Getty images #459194989 (Nov 29th 2013) and #452926709 (his first game back in Ottawa on Dec 1st 2013) have been matched to the holes and marks present.
