A consummate leader on and off the ice for the Oilers, Mark Messier can include a Conn Smythe and a pair of Hart Trophies won during his Hall of Fame career. This Edmonton Oilers practice jersey was worn by Messier in the early-1980s. With size “L” tagging in the collar, the solid blue mesh number also sports a screened on team crest and additional embroidered Oilers patch over the left breast. Produced by Nike, this jersey originates from the collection of Rick “The Stick” Elaschuk, and according to his signed LOA, this jersey was worn by Messier in circa 1982-83. A photo of Messier wearing this style jersey along with Elaschuk’s LOA, will accompany this practice jersey.
