From the pinnacle of Steve Yzerman’s career when he was putting up his best numbers, Stevie Y finished the 1989-90 season with 127 points in 79 games. This Louisville TPS model stick was used by Yzerman in this period. With the original tape on the blade and gauze-style tape on the upper shaft and knob, the stick features “Yzerman” stamped on with “Tournament Players Series” graphics. Good game-use is apparent with wear to the taped section of blade, as well as a number of abrasions on the lower section of the shaft. A date stamp of “Dec 6 1989” also resides on the underside of the shaft. A desirable stick used by the Hall of Famer when he was at the height of his goal-scoring powers.
