Only the second Olympics to feature NHL players, Team Canada didn’t disappoint, with both the men’s and women’s national teams winning the coveted gold medal in 2002. This lot features garment’s worn for the tournament by Ed Belfour and will include his LOA, including the leather jacket and boots worn during the opening ceremony, along with a pair of t-shirts and a hoodie. Manufactured by Roots, the maroon XXL leather jacket features tagging in the collar with an additional Roots Salt Lake City patch over the inside pocket. With a heat-pressed logo over the left breast, the jacket remains in beautiful condition. The leather boots also remain in gorgeous condition, with embroidered Olympic rings and a single maple leaf on each.
The XL hoodie is polyester, and it features “Canada” splashed across the chest, with a Roots 2002 patch on the lower front. The long-sleeved t-shirts, one grey and one off-white, feature “Canada” graphics on front along with “Olympic Hockey 2002” on one, and “02 Canada Equipe/Team” on the other. All of the garments offered in this lot remain in beautiful condition, with no issues to note.
