Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The Great One’s always popular and coveted rookie card leads this 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee ensemble, with the example here examined by KSA and given a mark of NM 7. Attributes include smooth left and right edges and an apparent clean surface, while a somewhat jagged top edge and a dinged lower right corner are to be aware of. Housed in a binder, the accompanying 395 cards tend to mirror the Gretzky, with not always perfect centering but overall rather good. We do spot intermittent dinged corners and the odd crease, with EX+, EX-MT and NM the dominant grades and EX, NM+ and NM-MT examples also present. Notables include Howe and Hull (both EX+), with a small light crease noticed in Bossy, Lafleur and the Oilers logo/checklist. Checklists are unmarked but grade VG+, VG-EX and VG, with all team checklists also unmarked.
