Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Some interesting lumber in this lot, we have a Kevin Mitchell game-used and signed bat, and a Chuck Knoblauch signed limited-edition rookie of the year pro model bat. The Mitchell gamer is a 35 ½” Rawlings Big Stick with block-letter “K. Mitchell” and “Mariners” stamped on barrel, and model number KM07 on the knob. With a rough unfinished handle, it exhibits a fairly large “H” crack, with a few marks and blemishes on the barrel. Mitchell has signed to the right of the center brand with a beautiful blue sharpie signature including his number. The Knoblauch limited-edition bat is a 33 ¾” creation similar to World Series black bats. With a modern Louisville Slugger center brand, the M110 model bat features a Knoblauch signature stamping along with “1991 Rookie” and “Championship Season”. Additional handwritten text residing between the signature stamping and center brand has been applied in silver sharpie, and it reads “1991 American League Rookie-of-the-Year”. Signed by Knoblauch above the notation, the bat shows its edition is limited with 457/500. With bright silver stampings and handwritten notations, this bat remains in absolutely perfect condition. JSA basic certification LOA’s will come with these wonderful signed bats.
