Four substantial 20-point diamonds on the tableau of this tremendous 10-karat gold ring represent the Edmonton Oilers dynasty’s fourth Stanley Cup win in five years in the spring of 1988, the team’s last with Wayne Gretzky as captain. The Great One totaled 43 points in the playoffs as the Oilers eliminated the Jets (4-1), Flames (4-0) and Wings (4-1) before sweeping Boston in the finals. Wayne's 13 points against the Bruins set a finals record and secured his second Conn Smythe Trophy. "Stanley Cup Champions 1988" is spelled out on the bezel of this championship ring presented to Oilers trainer Barrie Stafford. It weighs approximately 32 grams and also boasts smaller diamonds around the formidable foursome on the white gold tableau. “Stafford” and the enameled Oilers logo with “Trainer” at the bottom are featured on the left shank. The right shank displays "Oilers" above four Stanley Cups proudly stamped with Edmonton's championship years, with a motivational carrot at the bottom. The manufacturer’s hallmark, “10K” and “Balfour” are stamped inside the size 11 band. This historic 1987-88 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup ring is very nicely preserved with scratches and scuffs to the back of the band from obviously proud wear. Comes with Barrie Stafford’s signed LOA.
