Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
This full size equipment bag was used by a Pittsburgh Penguins player in the 1970s. Made of canvas with screened-on yellow numbers and team crests, this bag could have been used originally by a number of different players as the #12 identifier relates to at least four individuals that wore that number for Pittsburgh in the 1970s. Possible players the bag could be attributed to include Ken Schinkel, who later coached the Pens, Blaine Stoughton, Kelly Pratt or Greg Malone. With Penguins logos on both ends, there’s also the “C./B.” manufacturers tag that remains firmly affixed. The bag shows heavy use which includes a number of small holes and rips scattered throughout.
