Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

A rock-solid defenseman with time spent in New Jersey, Anaheim, St. Louis and Boston, Alexei Kasatonov also represented Russia a number of times on the international stage, which included winning three Olympic medals. This CCCP Russian team jersey was worn by the IIHF Hall of Famer in the late-1980s. Void of tagging in the collar, the mesh jersey features screened-on team logo, numbers and nameplate, with a small Russian Federation flag over the left breast. Most likely worn in an international tournament, game-wear consists of a number of dark marks on the lower front along with board burns and a few spots of paint transfer.
