Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Originally scheduled for the 1994-95 NHL season but cancelled due to the lockout, the 47th All-Star Game took place in 1997 instead, with San Jose hosting the event. This Western Conference jersey was worn by that year’s hardest shot winner, Al MacInnis. With CCM and Center Ice as well as size tagging in the collar, additional CCM and NHL embroidered crests sit on the back bottom hem. The San Jose All-Star patch resides on the right sleeve, with Blues team patch on the left, and the fight strap has been stamped “1997 All-Star Game San Jose”.
With no obvious game-wear to mention, there are just a few streaks that have broken the fabric to the right of the team crest. This jersey is one of five that was worn by MacInnis in either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or one of the ASG's three periods. An LOA from the NHLPA will come with this beautiful jersey.
