Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Remembered for Dion Phaneuf’s end to end empty-net goal, the 2007 NHL All-Star Game was hosted by Dallas, and it was the 55th time the superstar showcase took place. This Eastern Conference jersey was worn by Martin Brodeur in the first period according to the MeiGray population report. With CCM “Goalie Style” and size 58 tagging in the collar, an additional Reebok patch has been placed over the back nameplate. The Dallas All-Star patch rests on the left shoulder, while a Devils team patch sits over the right, with three stars cascading down each side. Brodeur has added a nice black marker signature to the top of the back “3”, and it stands out well against the crimson red fabric.
With no discernible game-wear present due to its short-term use, a MeiGray patch numbered D02176 has been affixed to the inside of the back bottom hem, and an LOA from the NHLPA will accompany. Brodeur defended the Eastern Conference goal in the 2nd period, he was a back-up on the bench in the first period.
