Following in the footsteps of a famous parent can’t be easy, unless you’re Brett Hull. Brett was able to carve out a successful Hall of Fame career that could be compared to his legendary father Bobby. This lot contains four different signed Hull items including a pair that celebrates his 500th career goal milestone. The first display offered features a poster commemorating Brett’s 500th, and it’s been signed. Next we have a signed and numbered artist proof display for Brett’s jersey retirement ceremony in St. Louis, and this is followed by a framed and signed copy of a St. Louis newspaper from 1993 featuring Brett, and a signed picture puck with 500 goal notation.
The 500 goal poster shows a collage of Hull images with pertinent career milestone dates. Brett has added a large gold sharpie signature across the pictured stick, and it’s also been signed by Bobby Hull, who’s added a nice blue sharpie signature next to his image. In excellent condition, it’s been framed to total dimensions of 20” x 24”. The jersey retirement display is an artist proof, and it features 2 8” x 12” photos nicely matted including one with an image of Brett’s jersey being raised to the rooftop, while he and proud father Bobby look on. Framed to final dimensions of 23” x 25”, Brett has signed the photo on left with a big blue sharpie signature, and a plaque placed in the lower right states “Limited Edition AP 2/10”. The framed newspaper copy has also been signed by Brett next to his image, and it’s been framed to 18” x 26”. Lastly, the signed puck is a picture puck example, with Brett signing beneath his image with “500”, along with the date of his impressive feat.
