Tim Horton is among 20 members of the 1963-64 Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs who signed the cover of a playoff program from the Leafs’ Cup-clinching game in the spring of 1963. This Maple Leaf Gardens program from Game 5 of the 1963 final is also signed by HOFers Mahovlich, Kelly, Keon, Pulford, Armstrong, Bathgate, Stanley and Bower. The program has a different insert than others we have seen from Toronto’s Cup-clinching 3-1 win over Detroit on April 18, 1963. The Bathgate autograph along with those of Pappin and McKenney date the Leafs signatures to the season after the 1962-63 Leafs defended their Cup title. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
This well- preserved and complete 1963-64 Maple Leafs team-signed program has the date and scorecard for the 1963 Stanley Cup Finals Cup-winning Game 5. It displays the lineups for the OHA finals, and the scorecard for the April 18, 1963 Detroit vs. Toronto game, which proved to be the Cup-clincher.
The Bower autograph on the cover is a more recent signature. Others whose vintage autographs appear on the program are Ron Stewart, Billy Harris, Eddie Shack, Bob Baun, Larry Hillman, Jim Pappin, Don McKenney and Don Simmons.
