Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The 2003 Heritage Classic was the first outdoor game that was a part of the NHL regular season. An additional part of the festivities, the “MegaStars” game was played first with former Habs playing against former Oilers, led by Wayne Gretzky. The offered stick in this lot was made “game ready” for Wayne for this very event, and it’s accompanied by a signed Bauer Helmet. TPS Response Plus model stick, it has “Gretzky” and “99” in factory graphics on the upper shaft, along with “Gripper” foam grip on the top of the shaft. Wayne has signed across the dark-coloured blade in silver sharpie and the autograph is flawless. A hologram from WGA has been affixed, and a matching COA will accompany.
The offered signed helmet is a Bauer 2100 model, and The Great One has added a large and thick black marker signature to the upper section. In perfect condition, the NOS helmet also comes in its original point of sale display box.
