Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
With the regular three year grace period lifted of course, Wayne Gretzky was able to enter the Hall of Fame in just over seven months after he played his final NHL game. This lot contains a framed and signed photo, a signed Hespeler stick and a signed HOF induction puck. The signed display features an 11” x 14” photo of Wayne in the dressing room removing his skates after playing in his last game. The details are listed below with an image of MSG. Wayne has signed in silver sharpie including the important date, and the signature is beautifully executed. Framed to total dimensions of 20 ½” x 29 ½”, a hologram from WGA has been affixed and a matching COA will accompany.
Next we have the Hespeler stick. “Gretzky” is stamped onto the upper shaft, and the striping sticker still remains on the lower section. Wayne has added a large and bold signature across the blade, and the stick and signature are near perfect. A hologram has also been affixed and a matching COA will come with this neat stick. Lastly, we have a signed puck from The Great One’s HOF induction night on November 22 1999. The front contains the important details while the back features a HOF logo. Wayne has signed in black marker, and the signature stands out well. An attached hologram is in place, with the matching COA from WGA to accompany.
