The top goalie selected in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Zachary Fucale has competed twice for the Memorial Cup, and he was selected for the 2013 Memorial Cup All-Star Team. This group of equipment includes Fucale’s blocker, glove and stick and all were game-used. The blocker and glove have been photo-matched to the 2015 Memorial Cup where Fucale represented the Quebec Remparts. Manufactured by Reebok and in Remparts red, black and white - the blocker, glove and stick show a ton of use and are covered in puck marks. A number of marks on both have been positively matched to multiple Getty images from the tournament including image #474434156, #474861002 and #474861024. The stick, while not photo-matched, was also used in the Memorial Cup.
The breakdown for this set of game-worn equipment from Zach Fucale is as follows;
1 – Reebok blocker and glove. Reebok Premier model blocker and glove made by Lefevre, both have “Fucale” chain-stitched around the wrist area. The blocker is covered with black puck marks on the front and on the side thumb guard as well, and the palm has been stained red from the red painted handle of Fucale’s Reebok goal stick. The glove also shows a lot of dark puck marks, especially inside the pocket.
2 – Reebok goal stick. Reebok Premier Pro model stick, the original tape job remains on the blade with gauze-style tape on the upper shaft including handwritten “TSP”. “Fucale” appears midway up in factory graphics. Puck marks completely cover the blade and paddle with a number of small cracks and dings to the surface including small notches taken out of the upper shaft.
