Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Great pair of Ed Belfour’s Dallas Stars Christian game-used sticks are both signed by the HOF goalie. Eddie the Eagle used the sticks in 2001, one in the second half of the 2000-01 season, and the other early in the following season. Belfour and the Stars won both games, including 5-3 at Detroit on October 27, which is noted on the back of the shaft of the gamer he signed in gold paint pen at the top of the paddle that displays a nice gash through the R and red goalpost paint transfer at the bottom and through the top of the blade. Belfour signed in silver paint pen on the heel of his gamer from a 3-2 win against Edmonton on February 7, 2001. Comes with Ed Belfour’s signed LOA.
Each stick retains Belfour’s original tape jobs on the knob, handle and blade.
The Feb. 7, 2001 game-used stick has a crack in the back of the shaft below the gold paint pen notation with the date of the game and Ed’s tape job on the knob with the black marker notation “2/7 Oilers 3-2 win”.
The Oct. 27, 2001 game-used stick has gold paint pen notations on the back of the shaft below Ed’s tape job on the knob, which also displays notations about the date and result of the game.
