Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Ed Belfour spent five seasons in Texas at the turn of the century, winning a Stanley Cup with Dallas in 1999. This pair of Christian goal sticks were used by Belfour while with the Stars. With the original tape on the blades and shafts, there’s also additional tape on the handles, just above the paddles. Both sticks have “Belfour” on the upper shafts in factory graphics, and both sticks feature eagle graphics for Eddie’s moniker on the heel section just above the blades. One stick has been signed on the heel in silver sharpie, with the signature somewhat bleeding into the stick’s material. An LOA from Ed Belfour will come with these two game-used sticks.
Game-use on the signed stick includes wear to the taped section of blade, and there are also a few abrasions on the paddle as well as a few puck marks on the shaft. The unsigned example also features wear to the taped section of blade as well as a few random marks on the paddle.
