Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Game-used sticks from HOFers Nick Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov and Chris Chelios and fellow Red Wings greats Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen and Tomas Holmstrom are featured in this six-pack of composite gamers. All six sticks have their original tape jobs on the knob and five have their blade tape jobs as well, with only Chelios’ Easton Synergy having had its removed. Not all of the sticks were necessarily used with the Red Wings, but most were. Each stick has the corresponding player’s name on the shaft, either stamped or in factory graphics, with “Pasha” on Datsyuk’s Reebok gamer. Solid game use here in this six-pack of sticks wielded by some of the best to ever wear the Winged Wheel!
“24 Chelios” appears in factory graphics on the shaft of Chris’ Easton Synergy gamer, which has his number “24” handwritten in black marker on the bottom of his well-worn white tape job on the knob that displays some red paint transfer. More game use shows in paint chips on the shaft and marks on the blade, which had its tape job removed;
“Fedorov” is stamped on the shaft of Sergei’s Innovative Novius game-used stick, which has long, wide strips of black bulldog tape applied to the bottom portion of both the front and back of the blade. Sergei’s ribbed tape job on the knob shows nice wear with lots of red paint transfer, and more game wear shows in marks low on the shaft;
Lidstrom’s number “5” is handwritten in black marker on the top front of his white tape job on the knob of his Easton Synergy game-used stick. “5 Lidstrom” in factory graphics sits on the shaft and Nick’s original tape job remains on the blade. Game use includes red paint transfer on the knob and marks on the shaft;
Datsyuk’s Reebok Sickick II game-used stick has a blackened shaft and Pavel’s original tape jobs on the blade and knob, which features red grip tape and a wrap of red vinyl tape at the bottom with “13” handwritten in black marker on the front;
“T. Holmstrom” is printed in factory graphics on the shaft of Tomas’ Warrior game-used stick, which has red paint transfer high on the blackened shaft. His number “96” is handwritten in black marker at the bottom of his nicely worn tape job on the knob. Holmstrom’s tape job on the blade features a long strip of black bulldog tape on both sides along the bottom;
“Franzen” and his number “93” appear in factory graphics on the shaft of Mule’s Easton SE16 game-used stick. Johan’s number “93” is handwritten at the bottom of his tape job on the knob, which features red grip tape with a wrap of black vinyl tape at the top. Solid game wear with puck marks and gouges to his white tape job on the blade.
