The oldest surviving minor league franchise in North America, The Rhode Island Reds have existed in one form or another since 1926, and it’s the only AHL team to have never missed a season. This large collection of Reds material spans over forty years and includes 25 programs, 20 different media photos, 6 AHL yearbooks, an AHL schedule from 1971-72, a Baltimore Clippers patch, a NY Islanders media guide from 1980-81, a Reds newsletter from 2006 and three glass paperweights in the shape of pucks, including one from the 1990 NHL All-Star Game in Pittsburgh.
The breakdown for the items available in this lot is as follows;
1 – Programs. Totaling 25, they span from 1932 to 1975. Most are complete and in very good condition with normal handling wear, with only a few in lesser grade.
2 – Photos. Totaling 20, most are 8” x 10” and in good to very good condition, with some showing toning and a few exhibiting creases. Most have media marks or stamps on back.
3 – AHL media guides. Totaling 6, all are complete and in good condition with wear associated from handling.
