Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

Little boys liked the color-coded team design of 1976 Topps baseball cards back in the day and big boys will appreciate some of the autographs included here. Bold sharpie signatures of Reggie Jackson and Mike Schmidt grace the front of their respective (nice condition) cards, with the former PSA/DNA certified and the latter deemed authentic by Global Authentication (GAI). Cool is card #196 featuring the 1975 American League RBI leaders and signed by all three; George Scott, John Mayberry and Fred Lynn. Also in PSA holders labeled “Authentic Auto” are cards of Pete Rose, (both card and auto have condition issues), Bobby Bonds #2-Record Breaker and a Mets team card signed by manager Joe Frazier, while a card signed by Carl Morton, (deceased 1983), includes a NM 7 grade. GAI authenticated and slabbed a Willie Davis signed card and PGS (Professional Grading Service) did the same to an autographed Lee Lacy card. There are five Phillies team cards signed, (four on the front, one on the back), by manager Danny Ozark (d. 2009), while joining the not-slabbed autographed cards are ones of Jim Palmer (smudged sig), Cesar Cedeno, Steve Rogers, Amos Otis, Jose Cruz, Earl Williams, Mike Lum and Steve Braun. Loose cards are free of creases and unsightly flaws and contribute to a swell lot.
