Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Forever remembered for his casual stance of leaning on his Sher-Wood goal stick while the Canadiens pressured the oppositions net, Ken Dryden is also known for the iconic goalie masks he wore during his career. This lot includes a pair of replica masks, a Dryden heritage jersey as well as a set of vintage equipment that includes a pair of sticks. Both masks that Ken made famous are here, and both are in excellent condition with the older example sporting artificial wear. No padding is included, but both have strapping in place. Accompanying is a CCM heritage Dryden jersey, with the proper tagging in collar, and tackle twill numbers, it is in excellent condition with no issues and perfect to display with the masks. For the balance of items in this lot, please refer to the Classic Auctions website.
The balance of this lot is as follows;
1 – A pair of goal sticks. One Cooper Custom Pro model and one Louisville, both have their tape jobs intact on the knob, with the Cooper model showing an un-taped blade. Both show plenty of wear, with the Cooper model having a handwritten “35” on the knob, and the Louisville having an undecipherable notation on the upper shaft.
2 – CCM blocker and glove. Both in very good condition, the blocker is from the mid-1960s, and it has its original cloth tag intact allowing us to date it. The trapper is a professional model, probably from the late-1950s to early-1960s and it shows nice use.
3 – A pair of Ferland hockey pants in good condition. They are in Montreal colours and they show plenty of use with the suspenders still attached.
4 – A pair of CCM goal pads. From the mid-1960’s, the pads date from the same period as the offered blocker, and they are in very good condition, just showing wear from intended use.
