Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Featuring hockey’s preeminent gentleman, we have this limited-edition lithograph by renowned artist Michel Lapensee. Large and attention getting, the lithograph is 21” x 25” and it’s been framed to total dimensions of 30” x 34”. A number of images of Le Gros Bill are portrayed including his 500th career goal, and posing with his ten cups won as a player. Numbered 33/100 in the bottom left corner in pencil, the artist has also added his John Hancock to the lower right. A lengthy personalized inscription in French from Jean loosely translates as “To our friend Larry Boulet, thanking you for your constant support”, followed up by a flowing Beliveau signature in pencil. With no condition issues to note, this framed lithograph will make for a fitting tribute piece in any Habs, Beliveau or HOF collection. A letter from Canadiens president Pierre Boivin will accompany.
