Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Remembered in hockey circles as the greatest game ever played, the New Year’s Eve tilt in 1975 between the Soviet Red Army and the Montreal Canadiens was epic. Tretiak put on a dazzling performance stopping 35 shots, with the exceedingly memorable game finishing in a 3-all tie. This lot includes a complete program in excellent condition from the game, including intact center line-up page, as well as a pair of ticket stubs. Both tickets are in very good condition with expectable handling wear and they’re a true “pair” of red seats, being in chronological order with seat 6 and 7 of section 17. The thought of two lucky fans holding this program and stubs while experiencing this historic match is spellbinding.
