Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Aptly given the sobriquet “Mr. Hockey”, Gordie Howe truly did it all, and he did it first. Whether it was ability, strength, leadership or longevity, Howe was the complete consummate player. This lot also “has it all” for the collector who can’t get enough of Gordie. Nineteen different Howe items are included in this lot, crossing a wide spectrum of appeal. We have a 1973-74 OPC WHA Posters box with Howe’s likeness in excellent condition, a 1954 Red Wings puzzle that’s been framed and includes the original box in high grade, a Tex Coulter Howe 45 record from 1960, complete Red Wings Shirriff coin team-sets for 1960-61, 1961-62 and 1968-69, a souvenir 600th goal puck, and the list goes on.
Most of the items are in excellent condition or better, and most retain their original packaging. Also included we have a 1963 Red Wings calendar, a framed photo of Gordie Howe’s “Hockeyland” with a matching pennant, a press pass for Gordie Howe day in 1972, and more! We’ll let the winning bidder be surprised by what’s remaining.
